This aubergine hued stone is absolutely the finest purple sapphire we currently have in stock! The color of the sapphire is deep, rich violet with intense sparkle and glitter that seems to jump from the center of the stone. We purchased this stone on one of our frequent gem buying trips to Sri Lanka, or old Ceylon, where we carefully choose each individual stone by hand from a variety of dealers and sources.

To hold and protect this precious gem we've chosen a vintage mounting of white gold, one suitable to wear as an engagement piece or cocktail ring. Particularly nice the style of the prongs, which frame the gemstone and giver the piece an antique feel.
